Digital Health Initiatives

Welcome to the Digital Health Research Team at the College of Nursing, Florida State University! Our team is dedicated to pioneering advancements in connected health and telehealth, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes. Here are some of our key initiatives:

  • Training and Simulation Center: We offer comprehensive interprofessional education programs for students and clinicians, focusing on connected health and telehealth. Our center is designed to advance the skill sets of participants, enabling them to effectively utilize technology in clinical practice.

  • Innovation Lab: Our lab provides a dynamic environment for researchers to develop and pilot test new connected technology solutions. This space allows for rigorous testing and refinement before these innovations are implemented in clinical or home care settings.

  • Clinical Collaborative: We foster authentic relationships between researchers and clinicians, facilitating the development and clinical testing of connected health solutions. This collaboration ensures that our innovations are both practical and impactful in real-world healthcare environments.

  • Digital Transformation of Clinical Research: We are at the forefront of integrating wearables and other smart devices with artificial intelligence to prevent and manage health problems. Our focus is on improving the quality of life for older adults aging in place, utilizing technology to support their health and well-being.

Working with industry collaborators; contacts and families; clinical and community partners; and faculty, students, researchers, and clinicians, we offer:
